Sample pictures taken by  Dennis Bundy with review

The Crystal View is sharp as a tack.  All pics were taken with multi focus and the camera was set on auto.  The deer was somewhere between 125 and 150 yards away.  The lens couldn"t be easier to use.  Attach it to a good tripod, focus the lens, screw it onto the camera--yes you can do that with the lens on the tripod--, turn on the camera, plug in the wired remote, hit the focus lock, hit the shutter.  I shot the deer in the first hour with the lens, and I have about ten more just as good as this one.  Chromatic aberration is almost nonexistent.  Vignetting stops about 20x magnification.  If you just want 16x magnification, pick up the 2x lens from casio.  If you need to get really close, or if you are shooting at great distances, I dare you to find anything that comes close to this lens. Nuff said.

I have found that the best way to use the camera an the L X, beleive it or not is in night scene mode.  Even for the toughest pics--- heron nests in bare trees with nothing but the sky for a background-- with a little bit of sunlight, using the E V, either up or down depending on the situation, I get almost 100 per cent perfect results.  I do believe that any other casio camera will have the same results, so if anyone is having a tough time with vignetting, they should try the night scene mode.   Also, since almost every camera out there has a night mode,  the people who are having a tough time with vignetting might try their night mode with the L X. There's nothing to lose.  Don't know why night mode works--I have never found a use for it till now, but there is no vignetting, and the contrast is perfect--- no blowing out in any part of the pic.  I am using it exclusively now  and the shutter speeds so far have range from 1/33-1/277.  I do animal and bird shots and   haven't lost a pic because of blurring from animal movement.  It's amazing.
